Details about the FORNAV Toolbox
The FORNAV Toolbox is a set of tools that simplify print and reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central:
- The FORNAV Designer lets you easily create and customize reports for Business Central. Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements, here
- The FORNAV Converter enables you to run reports developed for Microsoft Dynamics NAV in C/SIDE on newer Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central versions requiring the RDLC format. Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements, here
- The FORNAV Cmdlet automates the conversion of Classic or RDLC reports or the reconversion of FORNAV reports – though without the user interface. This also includes the FORNAV Translation Tool that converts Caption MLs in txt files or xlf (XLIFF) files to Excel or JSON, and from Excel or JSON to Caption MLs in txt files or xlf files. - The FORNAV Report Service is a tool that renders the reports and is required to run reports for BC18+ OnPrem. Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements here
- The FORNAV DLL is a tool needed to run reports for NAV2013-BC17. Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements, here
- The FORNAV Direct Print solution lets you print jobs directly from the Business Central web client, without user interaction, on any type of device, to any printer in your network (ForNAV, RDLC, or Word report). Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements, here
- The FORNAV File Service (for BC15+) lets you access your C: files from Business Central. Read more about it, including prerequisite and requirements, here
When you download the FORNAV Toolbox, select the solution (s) you would like to use. For example, select “FORNAV File Service” if you want to get access to your C: files from Business Central, and/or “FORNAV Direct Print” if you want to print directly from Business Central to any printer on your network.
Details about the FORNAV Customizable Report Pack
The FORNAV Customizable Report Pack is a set of over 100 standard reports, designed and optimized for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. These reports are simple to install and can be used as they are. Using the FORNAV Designer, you can easily customize these reports to match your needs. The FORNAV Customizable Report Pack includes a setup tool, a translation tool, and a backup/report tool.

FORNAV trial download
Please note that, when you download FORNAV without a license file, you will get a trial version of our solutions. ForNAV trial downloads are fully functional versions of our solutions. They do, however, include a prominent “Trial Version” watermark that does not allow you to use our solution and reports for professional purposes.
These trial versions are free of charge, and you can use them while investigating how FORNAV can help you simplify printing and reporting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
